Cotton sliver for cotton swab, cotton ball and salon coil production
We card cotton sliver for our own cotton swab and cotton ball lines, and supply it to other factories that make the same products. Buyers also search for it as cotton swabs raw material, and the hair trade knows the same material as cotton coil. The finished balls we form from it are described on our medical cotton balls page.

Salon cotton coil
Cut to length and bagged, the same sliver is what salons call cotton coil and lay along the hairline during perms and hair color. Salon coils run from light to heavy depending on the brand, so send us the coil you buy now, or a short length of it, and we will card to match.

Cotton sliver packing for export
Standard packing is 15 kg net per carton or bag, with a plastic liner inside. If you need a different pack, such as 8 kg or 10 kg per carton, we pack to your weight. Carton marks are printed to your requirement.

Plain cartons or bags shipped from Qingdao are the standard, with no wood packaging, so fumigation and heat treatment do not apply. Cartons, bags and marks can be printed to your own artwork, confirmed with you before production.

How we card the cotton sliver
After bleaching, drying and reopening, our absorbent cotton passes through carding and leaves the machine as a continuous sliver. The bleaching and carding steps are shown in more detail on our manufacturing page.

Quotation
What affects the cotton sliver price
Cotton sliver is priced per order rather than from a standard list, because the same product covers a wide range of weights and packings. Five things move the figure.
- Weight per meter The figure you order, from 1.5 to 19 g/m, sets how much fiber goes into each meter of sliver.
- Cotton grade and fiber length Longer fiber and a whiter, cleaner grade cost more than a standard grade. Tell us which matters for your product.
- Quantity You can order from 1 kg or a single pack. A first trial order and a repeat monthly quantity are quoted differently.
- Packing Plain export cartons are the standard. Printed bags or cartons under your own label add a printing cost.
- Destination and shipping terms The quotation changes with your port and with whether you buy ex works, FOB Qingdao or with freight included.

How is the cotton sliver specified?
By weight per meter. We card absorbent cotton sliver from 1.5 to 19 g/m (1.4 to 17.4 g/yd) and confirm your figure before production. If your factory describes sliver another way, send that description with a photo or a short length of the sliver you use now, and we will match it.
Is cotton sliver the same as cotton coil?
It is the same material under two names. Factories that make cotton swabs and cotton balls call it cotton sliver and buy it in bulk cartons. Salons call it cotton coil, buy it cut to length in bags, and lay it along the hairline during perms and hair color. Coil weights differ widely between salon brands, and some are rayon (viscose) rather than cotton. We card 100% cotton, cotton and viscose blend, and 100% viscose sliver, so tell us which coil you are replacing and we will confirm the fiber and the weight per meter against it.
Will it run on my production line?
Our cotton sliver is formed into cotton swabs and cotton balls, including on our own lines. Forming machines feed sliver in different ways, so we suggest running a free sample on your line before you order.
Can I request free samples?
Yes. We provide free samples. Please share your intended use, required specification and delivery destination so we can confirm the sample and shipping arrangements. Samples are usually ready in about 3 days, in the quantity you need for a line trial.
What is the minimum order quantity?
You can order from 1 kg or a single pack: one 15 kg carton or bag as standard, or packed to your weight. Your own self-adhesive label is available from a single pack; for printed bags or cartons in your design, ask us for the minimum quantity.
What is the lead time?
Samples are usually ready in about 3 days. Bulk lead time depends on the quantity, the weight per meter and whether the packing is printed under your own label, so we confirm it with the quotation.
How is the cotton sliver packed?
In cartons or bags of 15 kg net, 60 × 60 × 65 cm, with a plastic liner inside. We can also pack to the weight you need, such as 8 kg or 10 kg per carton. Carton marks and batch numbers are printed to your requirement. Neither packing contains wood, so fumigation and heat treatment do not apply.
Which documents do you provide with a shipment?
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin come with every export shipment. For buyers in RCEP countries a preferential certificate of origin can be arranged so the goods clear at the agreed rate, and Form E and China-Korea FTA certificates are also available, as is a phytosanitary certificate where your market asks for one. Whiteness, absorbency and moisture content are checked in our own factory; third-party test reports are not included, so tell us before you order if your market requires one. Document costs are on us and we issue the papers within about one working day. Tell us the destination and we will confirm which one applies.
